In the first quarter of 2025, Austria's top navigation and maps applications on the Android platform showed varied performance trends. Here’s a closer look at the top five apps based on their weekly downloads and active user engagement.

Google Earth by Google LLC maintained a steady presence with weekly downloads fluctuating around 1.5K to 2.3K. Despite the stable download numbers, the app experienced a consistent increase in weekly active users, growing from approximately 28.8K at the start of the quarter to around 37.1K by the end.

The ÖAMTC app, developed by ÖAMTC, saw its downloads peaking at 2.2K in early January, followed by a gradual decline to about 1.5K by the end of March. Active users mirrored this trend, starting at 16.9K and dipping to 12.5K towards the quarter’s close.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic from Waze showed a positive trajectory in downloads, beginning at 1.1K and rising to a peak of 1.8K mid-March. Active users also showed growth, increasing from 30.4K to 41.5K as the quarter progressed.

The Radarbot Speed Camera Detector app, from Radarbot Company, experienced steady weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $2.3K in late March. Weekly downloads remained relatively stable, ranging from around 800 to 1.2K, while active users fluctuated, with a notable increase to 11.7K in late March.

ASFINAG saw its downloads decrease significantly from 2.3K at the beginning of January to just over 300 by the end of the quarter. However, active users showed some recovery towards the end, rising from 2.1K to 7.5K.
